His business career has spanned business development, High Net Worth private banking and finance, funding fintechs, international consultancy, agriculture and current non -exec roles in decentralized finance.

His NGO work has covered whistleblowing, protection of journalists, human rights, environment, SME and economic development and democratic processes, This has included working in Africa, Asia, and, for the last 20+ years, across the countries of the former Soviet Union, including running the UK component of numerous OSCE international election monitoring missions.

A Cross- Bench (independent) Peer in the House of Lords since 2014, he is member of the House of Lord Industry and Regulators Committee and the House of Lords Audit Committee. Previously he was a member of the Finance Committee and the EU Justice Committee. His All – Party Parliamentary Group involvements include Whistleblowing, Fair Business Banking and Digital Assets.
